Today women are finding exciting opportunities for
advancement in the dynamic field of accounting. The American Woman's Society
of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) helps women CPAs meet new career
challenges by providing educational programs, the opportunity to discuss
career issues with other women CPAs, meetings, seminars, publications,
and other important services. The society works to advance the professional
interests of women Certified Public Accountants and to build a strong
presence for women in the profession. AWSCPA’s mission is
simple, yet challenging: To
assist our members in achieving their full potential and to ensure
gender equity within the profession.
The society is the only national organization devoted exclusively
to supporting and assisting the professional development of women CPAs.
This is done through advocacy, networking, leadership training,
education, and public awareness.
